Good Trade.

So a week ago Matt decided he wanted to sell his Xbox 360. He had already sold a few of his games to my little bro. He only had a few games to begin with. One day he told me that he didn't want to play them anymore because he didn't like the influence they had on him. They were all shoot up, kill 'em games and he didn't enjoy playing them anymore. We kept Guitar Hero and a recently acquired Madden 06 football game. So when he said he wanted to sell it I was a little surprised but then when he said he wanted to sell it to get a more family friendly gaming system I was really excited. The Xbox had been "his" thing. All the games were his, no games they sold for Xbox appealed to me at all, so I never played. With a more family friendly system we could get some games that I could enjoy and Kooy could even play. He put it on KSL.com saturday morning and by 6pm that night it was sold and gone! Then this morning he got back onto KSL.com and found a Wii, brand new, still in box, never opened, for sale and for $20 less than what we sold all his xbox for. So he hopped in the car at 9am, drove to West Valley and bought a Wii. Of course it was sunday and we had to go to church at 11am, but by 2:30 we were playing Golf, and Bowling, and Tennis, and Baseball, and Boxing. Wii's are really cool. I'm excited. I love that Nintendo has such family friendly games that everyone can enjoy and Matt doesn't have to hide or put away the games or wait until Kooy goes to bed to play because they aren't appropriate for Kooy to see or play. He made me giggle when I was telling him how glad I was ...he said "What can I say? I'm a family man." He was being silly but I think it's true. That's why I love him so much. He's making our home and family a better place to be. I love you Matt. I've heard the Wii Fit is really cool. I wonder if I'll buy it one day. I wonder if I'd really do it after I bought it. I have exercise videos I don't use as often as I should. What's the difference? Probably not much because there is one common factor in both of them...me, and my lack of motivation to do it. I remember playing Mario Kart ALOT on my little bro's Super Nintendo. It was a family favorite for a while. And they just released it for Wii. That would be fun to get. I'll miss our Guitar Hero but I guess we could reinvest and buy it for Wii. We need more controllers to make it really fun. Maybe we'll use that extra $20 towards those. Wow. So much excitement. So many possibilities. Feels like Christmas. Except it's July....Oh! Christmas in July! That finally makes sense to me. What a great day! And my friend brought me over some chocolate cake. It just keeps getting better and better!

Fun!! I think I want a Wii for myself!

You know I wish we had gone to the bike parade. (Youre right, Noah would have loved it) I pretty much live under a rock because I think I heard mention of it once but didnt even know the details. Oh well. There is always next year.

I need to reserve my time at the Curtis home until our family gets one. I love the idea of playing a game with physical activity. Can you convice my hubby of it.

I love the Wii, we don't have one but when we went to Oregon we spent half our time playing, I am pretty sure. This is so pathetic to I was sore the next day! We played MarioKart, it was awesome

Okay...I think I will definitely have to get Mario Kart. Did you play with the steering wheel? They are only like $10, if we buy it we'll have to get that too.

To explain my comment, when I checked your blog last, there were only the pictures posted with no text, and everyone was leaving comments based only on the pictures...so I thought I was missing something. I checked back later and read the entry. Now I get it. Sorry to be so cryptic! Congrats on the Wii...I will have to break the news to Jeff...He will be very disappointed:)

I'm inspired by this post! I've avoided video games for quite a while, but since reading this I"ve looked more into the wii and I think it might be the next toy I try. Looks like fun!
