So Mom's in town. She got here a few Thursdays ago and is staying for 19 days or so. Today is about day #14, in case you wondered. She spent five days with us, five days in Boise, and is now back here for the duration. Dad joined us on day #10. But this is not a post about my parents travel itinerary.
One of the days she spent with our us we went to Gardner Village. If you didn't know, read on and I'll tell you. If you go to the main store, they'll give you a list of witches to find. A Witches Scavenger Hunt, if you will. When you find them all you can go the bakery and buy a chocolate chip cookie for 25cents. (isn't there a cent sign button on they keyboard? Guess not) Which we did and they were great. They Kooy went in the petting zoo, while Peyton did the pony ride.
It was fun but kind of weird too, because Mom and I didn't go inside ONE.SINGLE.STORE. We saved L.O.T.S. of money. :)
Then the next day mom left for Boise and I was babysitting my nieces. We needed something to do, didn't have a lot of money, but wanted to get out of the house. SO, we went witch hunting AGAIN. And it was just as much fun the second time around. And this time I took two pictures.
We had fun but pretty sure I don't need to go see the witches again this year. I mused about taking the kids back with their costumes on and getting more photos, but now it seems like a chore rather than a "fun family outing" since the magic has been played out... twice.
Stay tuned. We visited a farm and also have a visit to Belly's of the Corn in our future.

You can write 25 cents like this: $.25 See?
When the title was witch hunting and you started out by saying that Mom was there for so long, I got a little scared about the direction this post was gonna take.
Cute pictures. I like Kooy's short shorts....so '80's.
:)
We saw those witches Friday night. Sad tho...the witch in the picture at the top...looks like she has a nose there...but Friday night it was gone. So sad.
Next time, I'm taking the kids during the day seems it would be so much more fun.
