So here it goes. Our schedule revolves the school year. I know. I know. It's only preschool. And it's only 3 days a week. And only 2.25 hrs. I think preschool is a good idea...it eases you into the everyday going to school thing. It's so smart.
Preschool: 2-3 days a week, 2 hrs.
Kindergarten: 5 days a week. 2-3 hrs.
1st Grade: 5 days. 5-6 hours.
It's like they knew what they were doing when they invented it all.
Kooy will have no problem with the adjustment. He was running away as soon as he got out of the car. I had to call him back to give me a hug. Hug was for me, not him. I didn't cry but I got a little emotional. I guess this means I'll be the blubbering mom next year at Kindergarten.
Can't wait to hear how it goes. He'll be home in 1.5 hours. He'll probably say, "I don't know. I forget."
I'm really excited about this preschool I found. The owner/teacher is a mom, about my age, who has taught for the last 10 years for Jordan School District. Last year she retired to start her own preschool in her home. Since it's her first year she is only accepting 8 children in her 4yr. old class and it's the same price/day as the preschool at the high school, which I was considering, but he gets to go three days instead of two. I've known her from work and have always enjoyed talking with her and getting to know when I see her. So all in all, it's gonna be great.
I forgot how easy one child is. Now what to do with all my time...oh yeah. Visiting Teachers are coming.
