So my last post was TMI. I just write what I'm thinking. Here's an update on a little less personal matter in my life. Tuesday we were concerned because the other insurance company called Matt and informed them that their guy says Matt hit him first. Matt refuted this and told them the story. Then they said, "Well, I guess we need to look at the police report." Yea. You think? Later that same day, their adjustor called and said he'd be by wednesday to look at the car. He said he would call before he came. He never called. We are getting very frustrated. Matt was going to give him until 2pm today to call, then he was going to call him. Well, Matt had to call him and he left a message because he did not answer his phone. Not long after that, another guy from the other insurance company called to say that the cost to repair our car is $3400. They figure the car to worth less....so all we have to do is send the title and they will cut us a check for $3305. Apparently the adjustor had come by yesterday and I didn't see him. Which is weird. It seems like I would have noticed him. He must not have been here long. Oh well. So, we were concerned, then frustrated on the verge of mad, then very happy. What a day.

I finally took pics of the car. Kooy was such a poser. The damage really isn't that bad but both doors on the passenger side don't open. Well, the back door will but you have to pry. The front door's handle is busted and it's jammed up real good. That's part of the other cars bumper stuck in the door. We've tried to pry it out but it won't budge.

If you look at the trunk, the way it sits, you can tell it's all twisted up. That's from hitting the barrier I guess. I guess we are in the market for a new car. Something between two and three thousand. If you know of anyone selling a car...we love buying from friends and family....let us know. We've been very blessed with the last two cars we've bought. Wonderful friends and family have given us great deals. We are so grateful to them. WE know it would be selfish to expect it to happen again but it doesn't hurt to put some feelers out. :) We are so thankful that all of this worked out so well. Their were some elements of the equation that could have been different, and we could have been without a car and no money. We feel blessed and watched over by our Heavenly Father. This last picture I put on here just because I think it's cute.

Can you say.....Disneyland??????
Lol! I wish. We ARE actually going to use the money to buy a car. Disney will have to wait for next years tax refund. :( It doesn't look like we are going to go in December either.
Hope you have found a car by now. When Taylor bumped the van into another car a little too hard and they wanted to "total it" I whined so hard they relented and fixed it for me. It is so funny. The accident was at least 2 years ago. WE have been having this problem with the van that the alarm goes off on it while sitting in the parking lot etc. It is so embarassing. I would go turn it off when I heard it. Dad was so embarassed that he just let it honk for 5 minutes. About six month ago the battery would go dead every day. I refused to drive it anymore, so dad started driving it. He would get someone to jump him after work and then hook it up to a charger at night. We took it to two or three places and nobody could figure it out. One place said the battery was fine, another place sold us a new battery. Someone else fixed some switch in the back door. Finally, after it still was not holding a charge, we took it back to the dealer a third time. We left it there for 10 days. Finally, the alarm went off for them and they could right away attach their computor analiyzer to it. Finally, the problem was diagnosed to the repairs that were done on it from the accident. When they had attached the new or repaired hood they failed to connect some switch that caused the alarm to go off and drain the battery. What a long story. It all works great now and it no longer locks and unlocks the doors automatically as you drive down the road. Here we always thought it was just haunted.
