So there are a bunch of young single guys who live next door. The young single guy who owns the house used to live with the bunch of other single guys but not anymore. He just rents it out. When he moved in he brought with him a trampoline. I never saw him use it. Every now and then the guys would play basketball with their hoop. Besides that and them letting their dogs out to poop on our grass, they didn't do much outdoor recreating in their yard.
One Saturday afternoon, not to long ago, the before said young single guy who owns the house came running out the door, with a beer in his hand, and started chasing one of the little dogs around the yard and yelling incoherent things at it. Matt was already in their yard trying to retreive Peyton who had taken some interest in the dog. Matt seized the opportunity and asked the young single guy if we could buy his trampoline off him. It's been sitting on the side of the house with weeds growing all around.
He said no.
BUT that if we wanted to move it into our yard we could, and that when he decided what he was going to do with the house (sell it or whatever) he'd come get it or sell it to us then. And if he ever wanted to jump he'd just come over.
Matt agreed to the terms and rounded up a few neighbors to help move it.
This was the best day of Kooymans life thus far.
He jumps everyday. He gets up in the morning and goes out for a few jumps, in his jammies, before breakfast. I told him it was really cold one day and he said, "I'm okay with that, Mom." Few minutes later he was climbing back in bed with me saying, "You were right Mom. It's cold."
Then I say, "Remember that next time....Mom is always right." (He won't remember...)
Day one of trampoline. Dad had the hose out trying to clean it off cuz Kooy's feet were turning really black.
Kooy went around the neighborhood inviting every friend he has to come over and jump. Derek was a trooper and hopped on even though he is still recovering from a previous trampoline accident (broken leg).
Static electricity does wonders to "baby hair."
We think neighbor guy was a little drunk when he told us we could take his trampoline. Hopefully he remembers the conversating and deosn't think we stole the thing.

Ha, ha, ha!! Drunk people are funny. Peyton is so stinkin cute!!
And you are very obedient, thank you.
Nice score! I've been begging Justin for one for years but he's always been too afraid of broken bones. For my sake please don't post any trampoline horror stories :)
WAHOO! That's a WAY better deal than buying it! I hope he remembers too. Hope the police don't show up! I'm so glad your boys have such a fun new toy!
You guys are so lucky to run into people who give you things or sell for cheap prices. Looks like lots of fun. Cute, cute kids. Just in a month peyton has changes again. Oh, maybe thats the new hairdo. SKW
Oh, Happy, Happy Mothers Day. You are a wonderful mom and daughter. Love you much.
