Mommy Knows Nothing

I'm no expert. Just trying to do better today than I did yesterday.

It's February

Yeah, yeah. It's cold. I'll be dreaming of this day when it's the middle of August and it's 100 degrees outside. Better freezing cold outside than burning hot, if you ask me. And my feelings about this may have a direct relationship with how well my heater and swamp cooler work. (good and not so good...respectively).

Wanna know what's been happening in our family?!

Nothing. This is what I do all day.

This beauty broke down. The engine "threw a rod" or something like that. We may or may not have run it into the ground. Perhaps more proper maintenance could have let it live a little while longer. But we have no proof. So we aren't taking the blame. We sold it to someone for $350. He probably got a great deal, considering the new transmission we put into it last year might be worth 1 to 2 "thow". Whatever. We got a screaming deal on it when we bought it so we thought we would pay if forward.
Matt's nephew, Kyle, went to the temple. My first time in a few years. Yes I admit it. Matt and I were asked to be the witness couple. If you don't know what that means, sorry. I knew we would be. I got a feeling they would ask and I told Matt that I would say no. I've only been to the temple less than 10 times, in the last 11 years, and sometimes the whole thing stresses me out so I didn't want more added to it. But when the "Brother" asked us. I smiled and said "Okay." It was a lovely time and not stressful at all. And so happy we got to do it and be there with Kyle.
Then we went out to eat a Texas Roadhouse. Best food E.V.E.R. This is half of our rowdy crowd.
I was there too...
Matt took his boy scouts camping in the middle of nowhere in the middle of January. That had a great time, I heard.

Peyton has developed an obsession with all things Toy Story. So we bought him a Bed set for his toddler bed. Kooy wanted to have a sleepover with him the first night he used it. For the record, Peyton never did sleep in there that night, and Kooy only made it til about 1:30 am. They were both in bed with us. We need a King size bed. That, or boys that will sleep in theirs.
We bought this beauty. It's still an old car but it's new to us. Of course, we got a great deal. He listed it for the price we bought it, and had like 8 people call him the next morning. He figures he should have asked for more. We were the first to see it and drive it. I was WAY skeptical of looking at SUV's. I was set on a minivan. But we went to look at this one, I drove it, and fell in L.O.V.E. Yep, I drive a M.A.V. And proud of it. And afterall, Matt is the Scoutmaster. He needs a car like this. I guess no more excuses to borrow Jim's truck anymore.
And finally, last night we drove to Tooele to see Kyle be set apart as a full time missionary. He's going to Houston Texas. (I was born there!) He reported today at 1:15pm. Good luck Kyle! We love you and are so proud of you. See you in two!

You guys have been busy! Love all the pics. Guess where I took one of my business partners for lunch today? Texas Roadhouse, all cause of you. Delish!

That top picture must have been taken pre-lampshade.

And for the record, I've been to the temple less than you. Nanners.
