'N Stuff

So I haven't posted in a while. I don't know why. I suppose I don't have any pictures so I think I can't post anything. That's totally lame thinking, so I just thought I'd post and ramble about what's happening.

I went back to work last week. I work three nights a week. Matt has scouts one night a week. So that leaves Friday night and the weekend for us to spend together. I started babysitting my nephew last week too. I have him everyday after he gets out of Kindergarten until about 3:15. I'm usually already to work when his mom comes to get him but Matt is home and he helps me out. So with all this stuff starting last week I feel like I don't have much time to do stuff. I'm all out of sorts...I just need another week to get ANOTHER routine worked out. When I get all off routine the things that suffer are laundry and cleaning. So laundry is piling up, the sink is full of dishes, and every room in the house has stuff all over the floor.

Luckily I have a superhero for a husband and tonight while I was at work he deep cleaned the kitchen (I mean REALLY cleaned the kitchen). When I came home it kind of looked like we were moving and had packed up all the stuff on the counter. It was about bare. I loved it. He got rid of a lot of junk we had laying around. He also swept and mopped the floor and paid Kooy and my nephew each a quarter to pick up the living room. He also got both boys to take a nap and parts of them were at the same time even! I don't know how he does it but he does it better than me I think. :o) It was so nice to come home to. I love my hubby. Insert here cheesy mushy exclamations of love.

My baby boy is so flippin' cute. I dressed him in his blessing outfit today, to see how well it fit, and I just wanted to eat him. I took pictures. But I feel like I can't post them. It's kind of like the whole can't see the bride in her wedding dress before the wedding thing. We're blessing him this sunday so you'll get to see him after that. I know I know. It's so hard to wait.

I got a massage last friday. I full body one hour massage. My first one ever. It was AWESOME. I can't believe I've been missing out on that all my life. I don't know when I'll get another one. It was a HUGE extravagance for me. It was only $29 (there was a special going on) but I don't usually pamper myself that way. Which is dumb because I have no problem dropping 30 bucks to go out to eat. My physique proves my point.

I'm going to bed. Once again my husband fell asleep in Kooy's bed while "putting him to bed." I hate when he does that. But it's purely selfish. He goes to work early and we stay up late so I can't blame him. I just like to hang out with him after the kids are in bed and when he falls asleep too I miss doing that. So I'm going to go wake him up and tell him to come to bed. We need to make it first. Washed the sheets today (Matt washed the sheets...see what I mean! Superhero.) because Kooy had an "accident" while napping on our bed today. That's okay. They needed to be washed anyway.

Thank you and good night!!

I agree, with everything. I feel like I have a superhero for a husband too! And I'm trying to find a routine and I LOVE massages and I just agree with everything you've written. Sorry we won't be there for Payton's blessing - we'll miss seeing you guys but I'll be sure to check for pics! (Don't keep us waiting forever though k? I already can't stand it when he's even tried on his cute outfit!)

Dear Lisa, If I was within a few hours driving distance, I would come to Peyton's blessing. Not like the other lame siblings who ARE within a few hours driving distance. Love, Leslie

P.S I got a massage once and I hated it.

Thanks Leslie! That means a lot to me. Really. I know you would come. I almost started thinking about changing it so that maybe some of them could come but then stopped. Trent will be there plus all Matt's family so no biggie. It's going to be awesome.

Wow I'm impressed! My husband has been doing laundry and cleaning toom, but he's unemployed and has nothing else to do. I'm impressed! Nothing like coming home to a clean house!

Getting on a schedule/routine is all over rated. Just get done what you need to and keep on moving thru life! Where did you go for your massage? Let's go drop $$s at Wingers soon!! xoxo

I'm glad you've got a helpful husband- it makes such a difference. Mine is a great cleaner too and sadly has to do more than his share of it around here.

I think it's great that you got a massage. When Greg and I were first married (read before we were fat) we took a massage therapy intro class together. It was such a fun thing to do. We learned a lot but it seems these days he does all the 'getting' of massages and I do all the 'giving'. Hummmm. How did I fall into THAT pattern? Oh, yeah, by being so grateful that he cleaned that I volunteered to give him a massage to reduce my guilt!

Hey, Lisa nice post. I had a good LOL about Jacob's and Kooy's naps over lapping a little and Matt paying them a quarter to pick up the living room. I love those two little boys and one big boy (Jacob,Kooy and Matt). I wish we could come to the blessing. I want to love on that little guy in his blessing outfit. Miss him, much. I am bumbed to be out her in the frozen wasted land of Minnesota so far away from my grand children, oh and my children, too. We are currently in the middle of the worst snow storm of the season, they say. Snow was actually melting some until this happened. I hope Megan sees this. Hey Megan, I would write on your blog if you would let Annomyous make comments. I like run on paragraphs just fine. Sandra W
